40 free shows on the calendar

Free live music.

Every upcoming show with a $0 door that we can verify from the venues' own calendars, plus the rooms that never charge a cover. A real night out for the price of a tip jar.

The no-cover room

The 331 Club in Northeast runs live music almost every night of the year with no cover, usually a 7pm act and a 9:30pm act, sometimes a third late. It is the closest thing the metro has to a free nightly music habit.

Where can I see live music for free in Minneapolis?

The 331 Club in Northeast runs live music almost every night of the year with no cover, usually two or three sets a night. Beyond the standing no-cover rooms, we currently track 40 upcoming shows with a free door across the metro. The full list is on this page, refreshed daily.

Is the Lake Harriet Bandshell free?

Yes. The Minneapolis Park Board's Music in the Parks concerts at the Lake Harriet Bandshell are free, running through the summer season. When bandshell dates are on the calendar they appear in the list above.

"Free" here means the venue's own calendar lists no charge. Tip the band anyway. Everything on tonight →
